Reality: Home again

Yummy Queen Anne breakfast. Homemade brown bread, nice couple from
Vancouver joining us at the table.
Drove 45 miles to Yarmouth, mostly on the highway. Arrived in time to get in line . A short wait, soon we were loaded into this relatively small car and passenger vehicle. Blue skies and smooth sailing all the way, less a fog bank mid-way. Toasted good-by to Canada and a good vacation.

Trip through Maine was fortunately uneventful, but an introduction back to reality. Dave was stopped fo speeding down a long straight way (72mph in a 55 zone),but only got a warning. State Trooper was very serious - not even an inquiry about vacationing- although we have never been stopped for speeding while in N.S., we'd wager the officer would be friendlier.

Next, while on the Maine turnpike a Jeep Wagon driver from NY exhibited some unreasonable agressive driving- don't dare say ''road rage'', as it implies we did something to anger him. He did his best to tailgate, pass, block, change lanes and manuver his vehicle into our path. Dave had to slow way down and put some cars between us to get this driver to leave us alone. It was scary, I considered taking a license plate number.

Stopped in on Mom & Dad, caught up on family news. An hour later we were home to a very affectionate kitty.

As we leave for Yarmouth we look over at the dikes of Upper Clements to the Annapolis Basin, Port Royal, and a thick bank of Bay of Fundy clouds. Until next year...
