Reality: Blustery Miles

11:10 am wait for ferry, Met some vacationing Nova Scotians, They got a peek at our trip photos as we edited them while crossing. Most of the people taking the ferry today were tourists.

1:25 pm on the road again. Stellarton had a stinky papermill and weather was acting stormy, so up went the top and put in some miles of highway driving. Cape Breton was under clouds, yet near Port Hood things looked promising-top down. A rough chop to the waves on shore and a cool cruise to Inverness.

There, our Internet aquaintences were out so we left a note. Found ourselves in the midst of a wierd Inverness traffic jam. A rather rough looking motorcycle gang was pullin' out at the same time a car-honking wedding party was tooting down the main street. Probably the most interesting thing we heard and saw all day.

Got to our next home away from home and looked forward to a great meal. When we made reservations here, we requested the garlic and brie soup be on the evening menu. We dined here last year, and the soup was unforgettably delicious. Happy to say our request was honored and it was just as tasty this year.

As Rosanne and I sat in a parking lot in Inverness, suddenly there was huge amount of slow moving traffic and lots of noise. A bike rally started south out of town while a wedding party was moving up the street in the opposite direction. Quite the site for quiet little Inverness.
