Just as we planned, we headed for the beach. Contemplated sampling a different beach but one choice would mean backtracking, possibly through roadwork, or a longer drive to a more popular surfing beach. We took the easy choice, Martinique Beach.
Walked the legnth of the beach, still managing to find things to talk about.
Too cool to be inspired to swim, the warm sand was good enough for us. We wondered how many of the ever-growing number of beach goers were skipping out of work early. We were told they are all sun-starved to date. June had dampened everyone's spirits.
Arived in Halifax with plenty of daylight left. After oysters & martinis we met up with Todd Yeadon at a tourist beer bar on the waterfront. The evening finished with still more sailor-like behavior at the hipper and more comfortable Diamond bar - thanks Todd!
