To Get Here Drive down Mt. Hanley almost to the bottom, the Bay of Fundy will be directlyahead of you. The road swings right, with a dirt road branching LEFT. Turn here and drive about 1.5 miles, driving over a small bridge. Soon you'll come upon two dirt roads on RIGHT.
The name 'Sand beach' is a bit of a mis-nomer as our passionate attraction is the rock and tumbled pebbles. Several others were privately ''hanging-out'' over by the hissing rocks, so we will never know if this phenonmenon was more than a one time thing. We wandered west, down the beach to the huge grottos formed in the soft cliffs. A nearby group of ravens gave us quite an overhead salute. It was a warm,no cool water breeze to keep the jackets donned. Another gift of a day.
