Arrived at the gardens and woke up with iced coffee in a beautiful outdoor cafe' beneath a old American Weeping Elm. (We are still so close to the memory of our rainy prelude to our trip every moment of warm dry sun seems special.) It was good to walk, and take in this beautiful ten acres again. It is now almost 20 years old and there is always somthing blooming. Roses, in all there glory captured our attention-sight and smell. Examples of historical varieties and a brief history accompany the groupings of the queen of the flowers. Centifolias, Victorian roses, Hybrid Tea, Grandiflora comprise about 2,000 bushes.
