About 15-20 minutes outside of Halifax, next to the international airport, this museum is well worth the trip for aviation enthusiasts. A dedicated group of volunteers are doing a fine job preserving Canada's aviation history.
I've seen this plane (CF-101 Voodoo) on tv and in books, but looking at the size of the fuselage compared to the small wings up close - it's hard to believe that it actually flys.
I like the PBY Catalina so much that even Rosanne can identify them ! This is a Canadian version called the PBY Canso. This particular plane crashed in Labrador do to engine trouble 20 years ago. One of the current works in progress at the museum.
