Meet up with Doug Cameron and hike to Pipers Glen Falls. Stay at the Normaway in Margaree.
At 10 a.m. we met our volunteer guides for the day, Doug and Betty Anne. Doug had offered to guide us to the falls when he read last year's tour. He seemed earnest to show us around so how could we refuse? The road was in the process of being re-graded and made for slow going. We got to the falls after a bushwhack through the woods, just like Rosanne and I are inclined to do at home. What a beautiful and peaceful place.
We returned to the Cameron's home to upload Wednesdays travels and regrouped for trip to Port Hood. A 15 minute sail across the bay and we were on Port Hood Island, a summer residence for a lucky few .We walked to the west end of the island and explored.
We had a great time all day with the Camerons'. After a week together in the car, it was good to have somebody different to talk to!
Most visitors don't get treated to a sight like this. Well worth the trip for the adventurous, bring a suit for a pool-swim.
