Hit a beach, pick up some smoked fish in Tangier and spend a night somewhere up the coast.
After our photo shoot in the public gardens we gassed up. The station's washroom has a shower - something I've never seen before. Pay 5 bucks and wash off the road grime, now that's convenience.
We blew out of town, losing Rosanne's sunvisor on the way. First stop, Naturally Nova Scotia an herb farm found on the WEB. Rosanne looked at the gardens, I fed the llama.
Next it was up the coast for a lunch invite at Sunflower Cafe'. Willie Schwandt had sent us email from last years trip and suggested Martinique beach. We took his advice and had a good lunch followed by a nice walk on the beach... Martinique beach is LONG!
With no time to spare, we tore off to Tangier to stock up on smoked fish for the next few days. We had driven right by Willy Krauch's smokehouse last year only later to find out what we had missed at many a fine meal around the province.
With all of our missions accomplished, we decided to give one of the provincial resorts a try, Liscombe Lodge. We had passed on Liscombe Lodge last year because it seemed better suited for people who like staying put. The sauna and hot tub were greatly appreciated.
