Is it possible to wade through marketing madness, geeky guides and "everyone's done it" sites to plan a real and enjoyable holiday?
This Project is a real-time experiment to test the soundness of the concept of WWW vacation planning. The result of what a husband & wife team do when they desperately need a vacation when their business IS the WWW. Their business, New England What Where When, is a service providing Web Page design, hosting, marketing and consulting with a focus on recreational resources for entertainment, travel and tourism. Owners, Dave and Rosanne combined business with recreation to bring you what you see here.
Using the WWW to choose a destination, locate lodging and points of interest, these Web surfing vacationers will log in daily while in Nova Scotia to plan a daily itinerary and make reservations. At the end of each day, this site will be updated to include the highlights, resources and encounters that make travel writing informative and entertaining.
So take a virtual tour with authors David and Rosanne, use this on-line tour when visiting this destination or maybe take your computer with you when you holiday. Time will tell how successful this kind of spontaneous vacation can be. At the very least it will be an adventure on the border of cyberspace and the real world.
